Coffee Lovers Gift Guide
Coffee Lovers Gift Guide
There are a few weeks until Christmas, and just like every year, I feel like I am inundated with gift ideas. When I’m thinking about a person on my list, I think about something that they would love and it’s always a bonus if they actually need it as well. I believe gifts should have a practical aspect to them but with high-end quality.
I’ve put together the perfect Coffee Lovers gift guide here. I love everything about coffee and it’s something that so many people enjoy and need on a daily basis — which means it always makes the perfect gift!
A few months ago during coffee month, I spoke about the Breville Precision Brewer, I wrote about it HERE. This brewer is the perfect gift for the coffee connoisseur on your list because it creates café quality coffee at home. I learned all about how to get that cafe quality coffee at home from my friends at Detour Coffee. You can see that video here:
To extend this full café quality experience to all, Breville is offering a very exciting promotion around the Precision Brewer. You can purchase it at Breville.ca and with purchase, you will receive a mail-in rebate for 25 per cent off the purchase of any Breville grinder. In addition to the grinder promotion, everyone who purchases this brewer will receive a freshly roasted bag of whole bean coffee from a micro-roaster in your region (this promotion will run until the end of 2018).
(Purchase the Breville Precision Brewer HERE).
Fresh coffee is another great gift idea. I am part of a monthly coffee subscription from Detour Coffee here in Ontario. Detour coffee is on a mission to make sure that no one has a bad cup of coffee again. When you receive your freshly roasted beans, they are often roasted days before you receive it! Now that’s fresh! I get two bags every month which means I always have freshly roasted beans on hand. You can get two bags of Detour coffee delivered right to your door as often as you need it for $8 per box with flat rate shipping, Canada wide. I get the Bottle Neck variety and it’s great!

Next, the Breville Smart Coffee Grinder. This grinder grinds fresh coffee beans using smart technology so you get the perfect grind size every time. It’s super easy to use and I love how fresh my coffee tastes with freshly ground beans!
(Purchase the Breville Smart Grinder Pro HERE.)
One feature that I didn’t mention in my last post about the Breville Precision Brewer is the convenient pour over feature that allows you to make one cup at a time. There is an adapter available at breville.ca. This is a must-have accessory to the Breville Precision Brewer for anyone who is on the go.
(Purchase the Pour-Over Adapter Kit Here.)
I picked up a pour over ceramic brewer from Starbucks and it works great with this machine. I love the convenience of being able to make one cup of coffee directly into my to-go coffee cup.
(Purchase the Starbucks Pour Over Ceramic Mug HERE.)
I enjoy drinking coffee out of glass or porcelain mugs, personally. It just tastes better. I found this great Keep Cup Glass Travel Mug. I got the small because it’s the perfect size for me and the amount of coffee I like to drink in the morning. It’s got a simple design and I love the cork hand grip!
(Purchase the Keep Cup Glass Travel Mug HERE.)
If you’ve got more time, a good set of coffee mugs at home is essential. I chose these Le Creuset coffee mugs in Flame. They’ve got a great weight to them and they keep the coffee nice and warm.
(Purchase Le Creuset Mugs HERE.)
I also picked out the cream and sugar set that matches these beautiful mugs. A bright and lovely addition to anyone’s coffee collection.

The last and final item is a book. I love this book called Fika: The Art Of The Swedish Coffee Break, With Recipes For Pastries. Sweden is one of the world’s top coffee consuming nations – the twice-daily social coffee break is known as Fika and it is a cherished custom that has made it’s way into Canadian culture. It is a custom that celebrates life’s small joys, such as coffee, and it also has great recipes for sweets that you can enjoy with your coffee.
